what would (vintage)Cescowide Vision Goggles be used for?

my dad passed away a while back and i found a green tin today amongst his collection containing these old goggles. they have amber colored lens.
do you have any idea what they would have been used for ?

All I was able to find was mostly on ebay sales pages.

It looks like they were used in WWII for sking and driving. The lenses were meant to be replaceable and the tint is probably to reduce glare while driving or skiing. In particular, motorcycles in WWII used goggles.

I cannot vouch for the sources, I just pieced it together from websites selling them with the tin.
