Ice Skate help- for my flat footed 4 year old?

I am trying to buy her skates (not expensive as she is only four) but she has her father's big flat foot. The rental skates gave her a blister on each arch area, so I have a feeling I am going to have trouble as her arch goes out a tad. Any suggestions or help will be much appreciated!

First - give her a bath, then put antibiotic ointment and bandages on the blisters. They should heal quickly. Watch for infection signs: redness, warmth, and pus. That's a terrible place to get an infection, so take good care of her.

Go to the pro shop and let them measure her foot. The rental skates may be too wide for her, so the extra space causes the rubbing that gave her the blister. Make sure they check the width. If they need to order the skates, let them.

I like the Jackson SoftSkate or the Riedell Softskate series for little ones. They aren't too stiff, the blades are okay. Not great for figure skating, but affordable and comfortable for a day out with Dad at the rink. Get them sharpened right away, it's usually included in the price.

Stay away from the "softek" brand - they're awful. They put the skater's ankle into a cast upright position and the blade has no edges whatsoever. The toepick's just for decoration. Useless skates, don't waste money on them.

If she really has a flat foot, you can replace the insole of the skates with an over-the-counter athletic insole. Some supermarkets/pharmacies sell them, and running stores have them in stock, but I'm not sure if they'll have the kids' sizes. Footlocker might have them in small sizes or you can replicate one.
